США высылают в Украину бывшего нацистского коллаборациониста

17.01departament.jpeg Федеральный апелляционный суд в Чикаго распорядился депортировать в Украину бывшего нацистского пособника Осипа Фирищака (Osyp Firishchak), сообщил в четверг, 15 ноября директор отдела специальных расследований министерства юстиции США Эли Розенбаум.

Как сообщает ИТАР-ТАСС, Фирищак, которому сейчас 87 лет, "сыграл центральную роль в убийстве более чем 100 тыс евреев - мужчин, женщин и детей".

Еще в ходе инициированного его отделом в 2005 году суда о лишении Фирищака гражданства США, было доказано, что в период с марта 1942 по июнь 1943 года он служил во Львове в рядах украинской вспомогательной полиции, которая участвовала в нацистских репрессиях против евреев. В 1949 году Фирищак перебрался в Америку, представив иммиграционным властям ложные о себе сведения. Осел в Чикаго, где работал плотником.

Осип Фирищак вступил в ряды полиции, созданной немцами на оккупированных территориях, 25 октября 1941 года. Он загонял львовских евреев в гетто и расстреливал стариков и больных в лесах, а также участвовал в поиске беглецов и отправке обитателей гетто в концлагеря, сообщает France Presse.

Через пять лет после эмиграции Фирищак получил гражданство США. Лишь несколько десятилетий спустя его вычислило спецподразделение американского министерства юстиции, в общей сложности обнаружившее 107 нацистов и коллаборационистов, которые проживали на территории страны.

В 2005 году суд признал показания обвиняемого, отрицавшего свое участие в деятельности оккупантов, "абсолютно не заслуживающими доверия" и приговорил его к лишению гражданства и депортации. Фирищак подал апелляцию, однако в четверг, 15 ноября, чикагский иммиграционный судья оставил в силе предыдущее решение.

Если до 10 декабря Осип Фирищак не обратится в высшую инстанцию, его депортируют в Украину. В случае отказа украинских властей коллаборационист будет отправлен в Германию, Польшу или любую другую страну, которая согласится его принять.
